The beauty of Cape Cod doesn't end when Labor Day arrives and the summer visitors go back home to resume their daily lives. The beauty of Cape Cod is still here it just takes on a different look, feel and tone. The pace is more measured and the roads are easier to navigate. The startling Fall colors are left to be enjoyed by the residents and the 'seasoned' visitors who have been here before and know just how beautiful Cape Cod can be. Throughout the Winter and into Spring there is lots to see and enjoy and best of all, we have it all to ourselves.

A new day and a new year dawns. It is the first day of January, 2011. I drive to Sandy Neck Beach in the hopes of taking a photo of the ocean. I never get that far as I'm stopped by this colorful scene. I go home happy knowing my year is starting off right.
